LATCH

I ran across this thread regarding the LATCH system on vwvortex.

I have yet to see a 2002 come in with LATCH from the factory, so for all of you out there without the brackets, here's the deal:
Go to your dealer and tell him/her that you need the LATCH system retrofitted at no charge.
Part #s are as follows:
All FWD sedans and wagons: ZVW 269 001 (2 required)
All 4motion sedans and wagons: ZVW 269 002 (right side, 1 required), ZVW 269 003 (left side, 1 required)
This is NO CHARGE to you the customer. Dealer is reimbursed by VW through a warranty claim.
Warranty claim type: SP
Part Identifier: KIDS 10 000 1
Armed with this info, you should be able to drive away from your dealer with a big smile, two LATCH kits installed and no money removed from your wallet!
BTW, VW will do this for any owner of any 93 or later model that was not equipped with LATCH/ISOFIX from the factory. Part #s will be different but claim type and part identifier are the same.
